Can we create a space with jelly? 🧊

We started from a single concept—“skin that glows transparently like jelly”—and from there, we explored materials, developed forms, and ultimately completed the facade for the Medicube Hongdae flagship store.

We reviewed a range of materials, including resin, specialty glass, and acrylic.
However, very few could simultaneously satisfy all three key conditions: the visual quality of the texture, the ability to achieve curved three-dimensional fabrication, and a lightweight property. The material itself needed to embody and communicate the concept.
In the end, plastic vacuum forming was the only solution that fully met this standard.
